 In
August 2004 The Ship Launch hit the headlines with the
link up with A RAF Tornado Squadron IX(B), they are one
of four Squadrons based at RAF Marham in Norfolk.
The link with the Squadron, first came about when Tim
found out about the IX(B) 90th Anniversary in September
of 2004 and had two pictures commisioned for the Squadron.
Tony Parrini The Regional Officer for
low flying complaints for Cumbria and Tynedale then organised
a trip to the base for the hand over of the pictures.
This has created a strong and lasting friendship between
The Ship and Squadron, hopefully the Squadron will return
the compliment in the near future with a visit to our
establishment and biannual visits to and from.
